Summary

While millions of Ukrainians have escaped to safety, many more have not. As troops advance, disabled children and low-income families are trapped with no means to escape. For families with disabled children and low-income families, the burden has become intense. Some families living in besieged areas are facing food and essentials shortages. Others face starvation as supplies become scarce.

Challenge

Children with disabilities and low-income families must remain in their homes, sometimes sheltering for days as troops and shelling ravage their communities. Their parents, often single mothers, stand in hours-long queues for essential supplies. In surrounded areas, supplies are dwindling as logistics stall. Without immediate necessities, many children face starvation.

Solution

We help vulnerable children and their families access emergency food and supplies in two ways. First, we purchase and distribute essentials through special children's centres/hospitals. And second, we transfer up to 100 euros to struggling families so they can buy essentials as oftentimes there are no delivery services available.

Long-Term Impact

Europe has united to accept Ukrainian refugees. However, those who cannot escape, face the consequences of the war. They are hostages. There should be a real support for those who cannot escape and seek refuge. By helping disabled children and children from low-income families, you contribute to our humanity. We focus our vision on seeing vulnerable children, so they are not the forgotten victims of this invasion. Every life matters.
