The JAAGO Foundation aims to use education as a weapon to break through the cycle of poverty, creating opportunities for income, growth and sustainable development. At present JAAGO is educating 13,000 students in 11 districts across Bangladesh. The Free Of Cost School Program reaches 3,500 underprivileged children across 12 schools in Bangladesh.
Lack of quality education is a primary factor preventing poverty stricken families from opportunities of growth. Without quality education, the underprivileged are unable to unlock their full potential and end up begging on the streets.*Siam, a boy who grew up in the slums of Dhaka defied all odds. Apart of the original children that joined JAAGO's school in 2007. After studying at a JAAGO school for 12 years he is now on a full scholarship at United World College (UWC) in USA. *consent acquired
JAAGO was the solution for *Siam and will be for thousands of other children. By providing a standard of education that addresses curriculum often lacking in Bangladesh's education system (STEM programs) with qualified teachers through a holistic approach, children can become well rounded, independent individuals. JAAGO has given *Siam the opportunity to gain admission into a top international school. With your help JAAGO will be able to do the same for other slum children. *consent acquired
Better education will allow JAAGO children to break through the poverty cycle and help support their families, allowing them to pursue better opportunities, benefiting approx 30000 others. The Free Of Cost School Program gave *Siam access to new opportunities that he was able to utilise to completely turn his life around. In a few years Siam will graduate, begin to study medicine and be able to support his family and community, allowing them to break through the poverty cycle. *consent acquired
