Kyra Zimmerman

As the Disaster Response Team Associate at GlobalGiving, Kyra manages relief and recovery funds, administers the Facebook Crisis Donate Button program, and advises on corporate partnerships through research and strong coordination with nonprofits partners around the world. Prior to GlobalGiving, Kyra worked with INGOs, UN agencies, and local nonprofits across the US and MENA region in the fields of protection, displacement, and humanitarian response. Deeply passionate about these issues, she pursued an M.Sc. in international development and humanitarian emergencies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and before that a B.A. in international affairs concentrating in global public health at George Washington University. Beyond being a proud New Yorker, Kyra loves to travel, learn languages, dance, and eat good food.
