Growth Associate - Partnerships

GlobalGiving is looking for a Growth Associate (Partnerships) to join our UK team. You will be responsible for cultivating our corporate and major donor relationships in the UK and Europe. This role is right for someone who is an excellent communicator and relationship builder, who has the ability to multitask, learn quickly, prioritise projects, work across teams, is flexible, with strong communication skills and attention to detail, and is willing to work on a variety of tasks.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Growth Manager (Partnerships).

GlobalGiving in the UK has grown significantly over the last 2 years, leveraging new philanthropic income from a mix of corporate and major donors across the UK and Europe. We have further ambitions to continue to grow over the next 3 years to enable us to support more community-led nonprofits. In order to achieve these ambitions, we are now expanding the UK Growth team and are recruiting for two new Growth Associate positions.

On some occasions, you may be required to attend meetings in the evening to accommodate UK/US time zones.

Primary Responsibilities

The Growth Associate (Partnerships) will work within GlobalGiving’s UK Growth team to maintain and grow current corporate and major donor relationships.

  • Cultivate existing corporate and major donor partnerships by attending regular check-in calls or meetings, conducting partner needs assessments, creating reports on programmatic activity, and introducing any new GlobalGiving products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor partnerships management processes, improving and embedding new processes to cultivate partnerships.
  • Assist with the effective delivery of grantmaking partnerships with our global community of nonprofit partners, including scoping out the partnership, managing the identification and sourcing of partners, creating the overview processes and documents, and supporting the payment process and impact reports.
  • Grow our grantmaking capabilities by developing and embedding improved processes for managing and delivering grantmaking partnerships.
  • Assist directly with the team's timely response to disasters by generating donations
  • Identify marketing and communications opportunities.

Other Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for corporate and major donor enquiries, and provide exceptional customer service to donors looking to partner with GlobalGiving.
  • Validate inbound enquiries and triage across the team.
  • Use customer service tools, including Zendesk and Salesforce, to manage all prospect and partner communications.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate, and organised records of prospects and partners and their activity in Salesforce and other systems used by GlobalGiving.
  • Organise and diarise internal team meetings and external partner meetings when required.
  • Maintain up-to-date meeting notes and actions, and manage day-to-day processes and activities.
  • Support team with data and reporting needs.
  • Create case studies, presentations, and impact reports for partners using design tools e.g., Canva.
  • Provide financial reports, raise invoices, and other supporting documentation for existing partners.
  • Engage in cultivation activities for new donor partners, by preparing briefs, joining donor cultivation calls and meetings when required, inputting into proposals, building giving pages, and generating charitable gift cards.
  • Support team reporting requirements - global and UK staff meeting updates, quarterly metrics and KPIs reports, and UK Board reports, etc.

Requirements

Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

For our team to be a great fit for you, the following qualifications should resonate with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, marketing, international studies, social enterprise, corporate philanthropy, or related fields.
  • Demonstrable track record with a minimum of 2 years experience in the corporate, nonprofit, charitable, or social enterprise sector; or having transferable skills from the private or public sectors such as environmental social and governance (ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Capacity to work well in teams, collaborate, and gain alignment horizontally and vertically within the organisation.
  • Comfort with and enthusiasm about working in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment and with a diverse and high-energy team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills; the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced and collaborative environment while maintaining significant attention to detail and remaining flexible.
  • Ability to apply creative and critical thinking to contribute to team learning, improvement, and innovation.
  • Tech savvy and enjoy learning new systems and technologies.

Preferred Experience

In addition, the ideal candidate would also have some or all of the following skills:

Ability to work autonomously with minimal management oversight and be comfortable taking initiative and managing his/her/their time effectively.

Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and analytical tools like Metabase.

Salary + Benefits

Starting salary range: £32,000 to £34,000

Location

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of this permanent position. GlobalGiving UK does not sponsor employment visas.
