That`s why we are leading the struggle for #EqualityinTanzania and bringing new resources and new opportunities to our community by supporting local activists. This support is key to long-term expansion, rejuvenation and sustainability of LGBT+'s movements and organizations that work on behalf of millions of LGBT individuals in Tanzania.
Members of the Tanzanian LGBTQ community face many challenges to leading safe, happy, and fulfilling lives. We face arrest, imprisonment, loss of employment, disowning by our families, denial of access to health services, expulsion from school, and physical attacks. This is compounded by the anti-LGBTQ legislation that results in severe persecution for our community members. Investing your time, energy, and capital in LGBTQ rights will help our community overcome these social and legal hurdles
There are many ways for you to help the Tanzanian LGBTQ community. You can: Train LGBTQ activists on organizational, informational, and personal security; Help fight a legal case; Help organize advocacy workshops to discuss LGBTQ rights; Sponsor one LGBTQ homeless youth; and Print a flyer, a poster, and other IC materials with messages that educate the public about the rights of LGBTQ individuals.
Your donations to this project will make Tanzania safer for LGBTQ individuals by supporting LGBTQ groups and activists leading the fight against the anti-LGBT laws that are being introduced. Preventing such legislation will ensure that no one is denied access to fundamental human rights or equal access based on their gender identity or sexual orientation
